Artificial Intelligence helps with interviews
Having AI conduct the first round of interviews to qualify the candidates will save recruiters time which they can spend doing other things.
AI also adds structure to many businesses; generally, it’s left up to the recruiter to decide what interview questions should be asked but with AI all questions can be decided and preset.
An AI conducted interview via video will analyse facial expressions for personality traits, asses a candidate’s confidence and focus, as well as their skills and experience.
When humans interview a bias decision making can creep in during an interview, the recruiter could put their preferences first without realising. When AI does the first interviews and puts forward the most suitable candidates, it will do so without a preference. AI has the ability to abolish the bias that can be there when humans recruit.
AI isn’t a replacement for human to human interviews, because candidates want human engagement, but using AI for the first initial interview to qualify candidates is definitely the way forward.
